Environmental, Health & Safety Director Scott is a Certified Safety Professional and joined GBI in 2014 as Environmental Health and Safety Director. Prior to joining GBI, Scott spent 7 years with CH2M Hill as regional Construction Safety Director, provided safety consulting services and most recently was corporate safety director for a division of Westinghouse. He started his career with Nucor Steel as industrial hygienist after earning a BS in Industrial Hygiene and Safety from Utah State University in 1996.
QA/QC Director Keven joined GBI in 2013 as corporate QA/QC Director. Prior to joining GBI, Keven worked for a major tank fabricator and erector in production, management and for nearly 25 years as QA/QC Director. Keven started his career with Chicago Bridge & Iron in 1981 after graduating with a Welding Engineering degree from Utah State University.
President & CEO Dan joined GBI in 2008 as President, CEO and co-owner. He began his career in the industry in 1988, and has worked in a variety of positions including welder, field engineer, project engineer and sales manager. His project management experience includes several large shutdowns at coal-fired power plants, large mining projects and several high-nickel alloy lining projects and scrubbers. Dan earned a BS degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University.
Vice President - Business Development Scott co-founded GBI in 2007. Since 1985 Scott has worked in the industry in a variety of positions to erect tanks, silos, thickeners, precipitators, SDA scrubbers, stacks and on high-nickel alloy lining projects. Scott holds contractor licenses in multiple states for GBI. His project management and superintendent experience spans industries including oil, mining, petrochemical, power, utilities, sand and gravel.
Vice President - Business Development Jesse joined GBI in 2008 as a co-owner, providing project management, sales and estimating expertise. In 2018 Jesse assumed management responsibility for all of the company's internal and external Business Development and Marketing efforts. Prior to joining GBI Jesse worked in the petroleum, refining and midstream industries as a welder, fitter, lead man, foreman and area supervisor. He holds welding certifications in several alloys and processes, plate and pipe. Jesse earned an associates degree in welding technology from Utah Valley University and is a former welding instructor at Salt Lake Community College.
Vice President - Tank Operations Brock manages the company's Tank estimating, engineering, procurement, fabrication and coatings departments. Brock joined GBI in 2011 as a Project Manager and Coatings Division Manager, where he quickly proved himself while managing many of the company's largest and most successful projects. Prior to joining GBI, Brock was an Area Manager for Dunkin & Bush. Brock has worked in the construction industry from a young age and graduated with a Construction Management degree from Weber State.
Vice President - Tank Construction Jeff joined GBI in 2014 as a Tank Project Manager and was later promoted to Construction Manager and ultimately Vice President, Tank Construction in 2019. He responsibilities include all aspects of Tank project mobilization and construction. Jeff started his career in 1980 in the steel industry that included 10 years at Geneva Steel as a Welder/iron Worker and 24 years at a tank and plate fabricator as a welder, construction warehouse manager and Project Manager.
Vice President - Industrial Construction Clint joined GBI in 2019 as Vice President, Industrial Construction with responsibility for project estimating and execution, including the company's operations in Rock Springs and Permian Basin. He began his career in 1997 at CDK Contracting as a project engineer and later SKANSKA USA Construction where he progressed to Construction Manager. After completing several projects for Big J Enterprises at Sandia Labs, Clint later joined LPR Construction as Senior Industrial Estimator where he progressed in multiple management roles including Industrial Sales Director and ultimately Division Vice President. Clint earned his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
CFO & Chairman J.D. joined GBI in 2009 as CFO, Chairman and co-owner. He started his career in 1992 with GE Capital in their FMP program after graduating magna cum laude with a BS in Finance from the University of Utah. He later earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania before joining DLJ and later Credit Suisse as a Vice President of investment banking. Prior to joining GBI, J.D. provided strategic, operational and financial consulting services to companies in the service and manufacturing sectors.
