Our Founding Craft and Highest Standard

Before GBI became an integrated industrial contractor, it built a reputation on one thing: tanks others wouldn't touch. Complex geometry. Demanding alloys. Tight tolerances in hostile conditions.

What We Build

That reputation was earned weld by weld, and we only built from there. Today GBI fabricates and erects tanks across every major industrial sector.

The Founding Craft

Where GBI's Standard Was Forged

Tank erection taught GBI what uncompromising looks like. A tank that fails after commissioning doesn't offer a second chance.

The dimensional tolerances, weld quality, material documentation, and safety rigor every standard GBI operates by today was shaped by the discipline this trade demands.

A Shop Built for Code Work

GBI operates a dedicated fabrication facility capable of handling both ASME code work and custom industrial plate steel. The shop is equipped for heavy plate work, pressure vessel construction, and precision weldments.

It runs under GBI's full quality management system: 100% material traceability, documented inspection records, and ASME code compliance on all stamped work.

Why Shop Fabrication

Three Reasons It Wins

01

Fewer Field Hours

Shop fabrication reduces field labor hours, where weather, height, and access slow every task.

02

Tighter Quality Control

Controlled environment, in-house inspection, and code-stamped welding procedures applied consistently to every component.

03

Faster Schedule

Shop and field running in parallel — when sequenced intelligently, the schedule shortens without compromising the work.

Alloy & Materials Expertise

The Materials Expertise That Separates GBI

GBI has welded and fabricated in carbon steel, 304/316 stainless, Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507, Hastelloy C276, and other high-nickel alloys demanded by chemical and pharmaceutical processes.

Most industrial contractors can work in carbon and standard stainless. The work that defines GBI's reputation requires more — specialty alloys that demand specific welding procedures, qualified personnel, and documented quality controls from raw material to finished installation.

Our welders are procedure-qualified. Our quality management system maintains 100% material traceability. When the spec calls for a material other contractors pass on, GBI takes the work, and builds it right.
