When the Whole Project Is on the Line, You Need One Builder Who Owns All of It

Most industrial projects don't fail because of one bad trade. They fail in the gaps. GBI exists to close those gaps.

The GBI Difference

One Company. Multiple Trades. One Point of Accountability

Between the structural contractor and the mechanical contractor. Between the piping crew and the electrical team. Between what was scoped and what actually happened in the field. That is where most industrial projects fail.

As a turnkey industrial partner, GBI takes full ownership of your project, from pre-construction planning through final commissioning and handoff. We don't manage a roster of subcontractors and hope the pieces fit. We self-perform the work that matters most, coordinate what remains, and hold the line on safety and quality at every interface.

That is what turnkey means when it's done right.

When Owners Come Back

More than 80% of GBI's work comes from customers who have hired us before. That is not a marketing number. It is the result of delivering on the promise — project after project, owner after owner.

When the same engineers and plant managers bring GBI back to their hardest jobs, it is because the last one went the way we said it would.

Where This Capability Came From

Born in the Most Challenging Craft

GBI did not become a turnkey builder by adding management overhead. This capability was built from the ground up, in the field, in tanks and plate steel — one of the most technically demanding and least forgiving trades in industrial construction.

Tank erection taught GBI what uncompromising looks like. A tank that fails after commissioning doesn't offer a second chance. The dimensional tolerances, weld quality, material documentation, and safety rigor — every standard GBI operates by today was shaped by the discipline tank work demands.

That standard didn't stay in tanks. It became the operating standard for every trade GBI added. When you hire GBI, you're hiring a builder-led organization where the highest standards in the industry are the only standards anyone knows.

What Turnkey Delivery Looks Like at GBI

The Proven Partner Process

01 / Discovery

Listen Before We Propose

We ask the questions your last contractor didn't, align our capabilities to your actual scope, and identify the risks early, before they become your problem in the field.

02 / Planning

Value-Engineer With You

Not after the fact, as a cost-cutting exercise, but up front, collaboratively, so that your scope, schedule, and budget are protected before a single ton of steel is ordered.

03 / Pre-Con

Zero Ambiguity

A dedicated team. A comprehensive kickoff. GBI's in-house engineering, licensed PE, engineering PMs, detailers, means critical lift plans, erection sequences, and constructability reviews happen before mobilization.

04 / Execution

Solve, Don't Escalate

Proactive communication. Weekly reporting. Transparent cost tracking. When something changes, and something always changes, GBI adapts without drama and keeps the project moving.

05 / Completion

Pride in the Work

A thorough, organized handoff that reflects genuine pride in the work. Documentation complete. Punch list closed. No lingering items handed off to the next contractor.

06 / Partnerships

They Come Back

Over 80% of GBI's work comes from repeat customers. That is not a marketing number. It is the result of delivering on the promise, project after project, owner after owner.

Self-Performance Is the Differentiator

Earned by Doing the Work

Most contractors talk about accountability. GBI earns it by actually doing the work.

When GBI self-performs structural steel, mechanical installation, process piping, instrumentation and electrical, and tanks, under one project team, on one job site, there are no gaps to fall into. No finger-pointing on schedule. No ambiguity on who owns the interface between the structural and mechanical scopes. No separate safety cultures operating side by side with different standards.

One team. One chain of command. One standard.

That is the self-performance advantage. And it is why engineers and plant managers who have worked with GBI choose to bring us back.

Capabilities Under One Roof

One Team. One Standard

Built by Builders. Managed by Builders. Delivered by Builders.

Field-Out, Not Top-Down

The people running your GBI project have done the work. They have managed shutdowns under schedule pressure, handled difficult field conditions, and made the calls that keep a project moving when things don't go as planned. They hold a higher standard because they know what the standard actually looks like when it matters.

That is not something you get from a contractor whose leadership came up through business development. It is something you only get from a company that was built from the field out.

Here's What's Different

Every owner who has managed a poorly coordinated industrial project knows the pattern: the contractor manages the bid, wins on price, and spends the rest of the project managing excuses. Scopes overlap. Schedules slip. The owner ends up running coordination meetings between contractors who don't talk to each other.

GBI is not that contractor. We have the craft capability to do the work ourselves, the project management discipline to coordinate what we don't, and the culture to hold every single member of the team to the same standard, safety, quality, and accountability, from the first day of mobilization to the final punch walk.

We build it right. Safely. Completely.
